Chester F. Dudick, Jr., Chief Deputy District Attorney for Luzerne County, is a graduate of the Dickinson School of Law, Class of 1980. Chet is a lifelong resident of Luzerne County where he resides with his wife, Jannell, and one of his five children.
Chet’s private practice commenced in 1980 in the litigation department of Hourigan, Kluger & Spohrer (now Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn). He matriculated as a litigator to the firm of Bialkowski, Fine & Bialkowski, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Thereafter, he became a partner in the firm of Dudick & Decker. Prior to being appointed Chief Deputy District Attorney, Chet was a senior trial counsel for multiple homicide trials. In addition to homicide cases, he has a wide range of trial experience which includes all major crimes including, but not limited to, theft, aggravated assault, white collar crimes, vehicular homicide and arson cases. Moreover, Chet has a vast and varied practice in the civil field including personal injury cases, workers compensation cases and social security cases. Presently, as Chief Deputy, Chet’s role includes trying major criminal cases, assigning and scheduling assistant district attorneys and mentoring new staff attorneys. As part of his responsibilities, he routinely participates in conferences, panel discussions, and seminars. Chet also has the privilege to serve as Pastor of the Meade Street Baptist Church located in Wilkes-Barre as an ordained minister.
